ABOUT

Eduspec “STEAM International Challenge” seeks to increase students’ interest and involvement in science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM) by engaging students in hands-on sustainable and affordable curriculum-based programming and robotics engineering educational programs across the region and internationally.

Coding and robotics competitions bring STEAM skills to life by tasking students with designing and building either an animation, mobile app or game through a multi-tiered programming competition – or combining Robotics with a game-based engineering challenge, where classroom STEAM concepts are put to the test as students learn lifelong 21st century skills in teamwork, leadership, communications, computational thinking and many more.

THEME

There is a big shortfall between the amount of food we produce today and the amount needed to feed everyone in 2050. There will be nearly 10 billion people on Earth by 2050—about 3 billion more mouths to feed than there were in 2010. As incomes rise, people will increasingly consume more resource-intensive, animal-based foods. At the same time, we urgently need to cut greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from agricultural production and stop conversion of remaining forests to agricultural land.
